Characters
i'm yet to properly add this anywhere, since I the biology/culture pages are still works in progress, but do not gender the fish. they have both baby making parts and no concept of gender. at all. they do not know what it is, it does not exist for them. pronouns are used for clarity only. i guess if you're really hung up on gendering them i cant stop you, but like they r fictional aliens so i wouldn't sweat stickin to ur guns with them
I have a lot of characters in these stories on both Korad and Earth. Here's a little summary of each of them! They're all my babies and I love them dearly.
The first story to come about was that of Meg and Atl'as. Sometime in December 2016, I had a dream that an orange octopus with the head of a man could reach out of walls and give me hugs. For some reason or another, it stuck with me, and I turned the concept into characters. Meg and Atl'as were born. From there, I developed Atl'as's world. It kept growing. And now there are... too many characters.
Originally, Meg coming to Korad was just an AU I made because Atl'as having to say goodbye forever was too sad for me to handle. But then I got attached to it all. Like, really attached. If you haven't noticed already.
The order in which these stories were made is muddled. The Post-Science age as it's shown here was developed in 2020, but you could say that the groundwork for ORHE was being laid before the concept of Meg on Korad had been developed. The tale of Baphmaal and Mahlijia is one of the oldest as well, with writing for it back in early 2018. The Amphibious Devil and the Patrons evolved from bedtimes stories Atl'as would tell Meg into Organic history. There are more in between I don't even have a name for yet. Star-crossed Freezer lovers on the Eastern coast, academic's struggling in their studies together. The great plagues that sweep across the continent, and Amphibious Rulers that built their empire from the ground up. There are so many. I'll never be able to fit them all here. ugh.
The formatting may be strange! I'm trying things out and adding art!

The Patrons
Long before the first flickering of the technological age, when the Dilepon oases were not yet tamed and the Freezers of the Wasteland remained untouched, the Singing Mother spoke. It was a gentle word to gentle pups, and it was a constant flame that urged them on. The tale of the Patrons is the basis for modern Organic religions, a trifecta of three across the continent. While the religions remain separate, the Patrons tied them together in a tight knot that is still important to the cultures today. Religious or not, the Patrons glue Amphibians, Freezers, and Deepies together in ties that have been enough to stop war in their tracks.
The full names of the Patrons have been lost to time. All that remains are their common names. Some say that's the way they would have wanted it.

Rhenomah
Rhenomah is the Amphibious Patron from the dileopn deserts. A former war general, he is rough and aggressive, however preaches of forgiveness and karma. Underneath the hard shell is a genuine love for others, and those who followed him in his prime were taught the importance of boundaries. His stories and parables, however, remained around violence and war, and his personal army remained well trained. This put the other Patrons on edge, and they refused to trust him. In return, Rhenomah kept his guard up. He was eventually declared a devil by Delipus and Lumajia and ran off with his armies back to the desert. They disappeared without a trace. He gave one final heed to his people as they tried to drag him to the pyre; Your are brittle, and one day you will break. Modern followers of Rhenomah believe strongly in karma and are known to be calm, peace loving people.
Delipus
Delipus is the Freezer Patron from the northern tundra. She grew up in the snow, herding ice beasts and fending off Maou's. Delipus broke the mold for many Freezes, and embraced innovation. Delipus preached of communication and the importance of connecting with others. Her followers were taught how to embrace others, regardless of their background. Road systems followed her path, and trade boomed. She encouraged the Merchants Dialect, and worked with each race to create four languages, each easy to learn and representative of the culture they came from. Ponsol, Lithnus, and Gingil were created, all coming together to create Korakov. Delipus was always Rhenomah's greatest adversary, and while their public relationship was loving, they did not get along behind closed doohrs. Lumajia, on the other hand, had the Freezer in the palm of his hand, and many suspect them to have been life partners.
Lumajia
Lumajia is the Deepie Patron from deep in the southern trenches. He left the trenches for the northern ocean and the sea, taking on apprentices and teaching them his ways. He had no followers, only students, and they traveled in groups spreading their knowledge to others. Many great medics can trace their mentor lines up to Lumajia. When he was not teaching, he was preaching about openness and how to welcome the stranger with open arms. Because of this, he gained more followers that Delipus and Rhenomah combined. Even in the modern day, he remains as one of the most popular patrons, even outside of Deepie religion. He was deeply upset after Rhenomah's leave, and could only find solace in Delipus.

The amphibious devil
The tale of the second Rhenomah is stuck between history and myth. While the Corapon did invade Dilepon land and were cast back to the desert, the role of Rhenomah in the uprising is highly debated. The religious believe that he was the true Amphibious Devil, the old warlord returning to fulfil his final warning, while documents from the time claim that the second Rhenomah said they shared nothing but a name. Most historians see it as a self-fulfilling prophecy, groups of oppressed voices scrambling for one last remnant of hope.
Lazarius Rhenomah Sargoa
Rhenomah was the son of a Freezer and a Dilepon Amphibian, and born into slavery under the Corapons. He was smuggled out to his fathers extended family, and grew up in a commune-like village full of escaped prisoners. As an adult, he took to sabotaging Corapon outposts and freeing the slaves and prisoners. He quickly gained a following and, mostly because of his name and shocking appearance, became the face of the uprising. This was pushed forward when the Tundra Freezers sided with him and allowed him to lead their army in the final siege against the Corapons. He had an incredibly strong sense of justice and did not stand for anything that went against his morals. He was known as a radical and caused some issues. This fact is one of the strongest points in favor of him just being a figurehead. If he was really in charge, the Corapons would have been more than simply defeated.
Pashjimia ei Dospara
Pashjimia was one of Rhenomah's closest friends, and one of the first of his followers outside of the original commune. A blue Estuarie Deepie, he fled inland to escape the Corapon advances. He acted as the scribe, and produced the best preserved information on the push against the Corapons to date. Although not a fighter at heart, Pashjima was known as a master swordsman and, in some of his companions journals, was said to recite poetry while fighting (and winning). He's a creative, but very no-nonsense. It's rare if he and Rhenomah went a week without fighting over something.
Kallika Sargoa Malatah
Rhenomah's half-sister was a red Amphibian named Kallika. She, like many who surrounded Rhenomah, took their job very seriously. She was a good ten years older and is thought to have raised him. Kal is much more serious and level headed than her brother, and kept him in check. She and Pashjimia handled the finer details behind the scenes, allowing Rhenomah to take the credit and seem a little smarter then he actually was.
Bujibima ei Seliti
Bubjibima ei Seliti is a blue Estuarie Deepie who works as a slave in the Corapon infested marshes. She was a reliable worker, and, with the help of a indentured Dilepon soldier, gained the trust of Corapon authority. While Rhenomah and the Tundra Freezers attacked the Corapons, Bujibima organized the civilians into a militia and armed them. It's thought that her efforts turned the tide of the uprising, and ultimately pushed the Corapons back into the desert.
Devlinita Erudian
Erudian is a Tundra Freezer heir and Rhenomah's niece (although this was discovered later in their lives). Rescued by him as a lost pup, the two developed a very close father-daughter relationship. She possessed natural abilities in fighting and grew to be stocky and strong despite being unusually small. Her return to the tundra was a joyous occasion for the Freezers, ultimately convincing them to join the efforts against the Corapons and, along with Bujibima, is thought to be one of the main reasons the final siege was a success.

The Science age
The Science Age is modern day Korad, with the main story taking place roughly between 2004-2020. Organic technology has surpassed Earths by now, and Orgonus live sustainable lives in rural areas and bustling cities. This is my favorite setting, mostly due to nostalgia.
Megan Ortiz Palomo
Meg is a short girl from Yucatan, and Atl'as's best friend. She's wise beyond her years and has the whole household wrapped around her finger and napping in her lap. Meg is very curious and loves to learn. She finds herself in some sort of trouble most days, much to Atl'as's dismay. Transitioning from Earth to Korad has put a lot of strain on her body and she has developed chronic illnesses that leave her fatigued and in pain most days. Her family will do anything for her, though, and she can commonly be found napping in a baby carrier on their back. When she arrives on Korad, she is 16, and dies around the age of 26 |
Atl'as Pabola Vereen
ISTJ-T Atl’as is a tall, bright orange amphibian. He’s very kind, but awkward, and has trouble navigating casual social situations. After years of traveling to and from Earth, he has discovered quite the love for it and humankind. Meg is his best friend, and oftentimes he will sacrifice his health to care for her or try to find a way home. Atl’as seems very mature, even by Organic standards. Taking care of his alagar in the city has caused him to grow up very quickly and he does not understand the value of taking a break. He is 15 when Meg arrives on Korad. |
Pyron Vereen Pabola
Pyron is a young, yellow Amphibian and heir to the Amphibious Empire. He’s got some temperament issues and will snap violently if pushed. Pyron has good intentions and a kind heart, but the city and public pressure has caused what was once a curious, quiet pup to turn into an angry, aggressive teen. He feels it is his duty to take his mothers place on the throne, but would much rather live a quiet life up north with his brother, Meg, and everyone else in the household. Py has a lot of flaws and, especially when younger, parroted some rude and hurtful comments from his mother. He tries to fix himself, though, and longs to shed his protective layer and be soft and vulnerable like he once was. Pyron is 10 when Meg arrives on Korad. |
Zaj'ora Lyon Sejilia
Zaj is a forest green Deepie with a bright disposition and a love for all things nature. He is very gentle and social, with a soft spot for good food. Zaj grew up as a traditional, but pushed back and was thus cut off from his family and community. He is slowly getting over it and finally pursuing his goals, excited and passionate. He has connected deeply with Pyron and Meg and is learning what a real family is like through them. He has an anxious attachment style, and clings to those close to him, even if they hurt him. This can be seen in his relationship with Pyron. While the two care for each other, Zaj has trouble keeping Py at an arms distance while he betters himself. He is 12 when Meg arrives on Korad. |
Czaras Gallian
Gallian is a light grey tundra Freezer with a blue tint. She is very large, around 10ft, but kind. Gal loves to cook, sing, and simply be domestic with her sister. Growing up on the outskirts of the city has caused her to become aggressive and protective of her belongings and her alagar, who she had to go to great lengths to keep safe. Gal is covered in scars from a bad attack in the city, and does not like to show them off. It’s assumed that she has some form of PTSD from it. She is a lover of all things comfortable, and when not cooking in the kitchen can usually be found napping or basking in the sun. She is 16 when Meg arrives on Korad. |
Czaras Rexxah
Rexxah is Gallian’s alagar, and can be quite the character. She’s a light pink Freezer with too much energy to handle. Rex is an artist and is as messy as they come. She loves pranks and games, and can sometimes get into too much trouble with Meg and Pyron. Growing up in the city has left a large impact on Rex, and while Gallian did a good job protecting her, Rex was still victim to attack and will wake up in a panic some nights. The only one to calm her is Gal. She has trouble admitting that she is struggling, and hides her emotions under a silly façade. She may hyper-focus on her projects, forgetting to eat or sleep because she’s so engrossed in a project. Her art takes many forms, and can be something as simple as paint on canvas to a hat-making robot. I think she and Spencer from iCarly would get along very well. |
Maltersa Vereen Merut
Maltersa is a magenta Dilepon Amphibian on the smaller side, and the empress of the Amphibious Empire. Atl’as and Pyron are her two sons. Maltersa can be considered cruel and ambitious, sacrificing her relationships with her family and the well-being of her children in order to achieve her goals. While her private life is a disaster, she has a very calm exterior and is a respectable politician. She has worked nonstop her whole life, never able to fully build relationships with others, even if that other is the father to her own children. Maltersa was not a good mother to either of her sons (she did not want any children at all), but has turned out to be an incredible mentor as they grow into adults. She regrets being so harsh to them, but understands that there is little to be done about it. She focuses mainly on Pyron, preparing him for the throne. She was in her early 40’s when Meg came to Korad.

Ajra Pabola Tagwern
Ajra is Pyron and Atl’as’s father, and a genius if there ever was one. It is evident where Atl’as gets his personality, as Ajra does not let anything stop him from getting what he wants. He wanted Maltersa, he got her (and then lost her, but that doesn’t count. He stopped wanting her by that time.). He wanted to develop technologies in illegal fields of study, he moves away from the Empress and has fun with his little experiments. Ajra, much like Maltersa, is willing to sacrifice his own children for the sake of reaching his goals. Hell, he cast Atl’as into a wormhole to test it, knowing very well that he may die. That being said, he was always more emotionally available, especially when it came to his children. Ajra cares for them, and wants them to do well. His arrest was very hard, both out of worry for his children and his projects. Mostly his projects. He’s a better parent than Maltersa, but not by much. The bar is on the floor.
Dyema Heltoie Hepla
Dyema is a lime Mallopon, and the right hand of the empress. She was more a mother to Pyron than Maltersa ever was, and was one of the few who remained on Emporine Staff after Pyron’s crowning. She has the patience of a saint, and deals with Pyron’s antics very well. She takes a lot of heat from the other staff, but is quick to put them into place. Although she is just a secretary, it’s well understood that her word is law. In some cases, her authority outranks that of the Emperor's. And everyone is okay with that. She’s a little scary.
Mahlijta ei Diamatol
Mahlijta is a large purple Deepie with dark skin. She is Maltersa’s left hand, and the head of the Emporine Guard. When Ajra was arrested, she and many others in the guard were caught in the collapse of the wormhole. She was confiscated by a private company and lives in a small, makeshift home. Mahlijta is very rough and brash, with little sympathy. She does not wish ill against her caretakers, but she knows that the humans who watch her are not giving her what she needs, and is slowly watching herself waste away. She’s kind to them and is not considered a danger, but she wishes to be free. She’s lonely, and tries to find comfort in the scientists around her, but is unable to be satisfied. The dead bodies of other members of the guard surround her, embalmed and dissected. As far as she is concerned, she is going to die here, and the scientists will celebrate her death. Her blubber is starting to fade away, as a last ditch attempt to get the nutrients she needs.
Baphmaal Eultara Pascara
Baphmaal is a tall, deep green Mallopon who was once thick with muscle. A member of the Emporine Guard with Mahlijia, Baphmaal is the only other survivor of the wormhole collapse. He was able to elude government capture, but was quickly discovered and sold to a roadside zoo in southern Florida. There, he was fed poorly and mistreated. Baphmaal became incredibly aggressive and sick. The zoo was seized after a few years, and Baphmaal was able to be tranquilized and treated to the best of their ability. He remains aggressive and in the same boat as Mahlijia, wasting away and unable to do much about it. The only one he trusts is the young biologist, Kylie Mae Doyle.
Dr. Kylie May Doyle
Kylie Mae, often called Kyle, is a renowned marine biologist, known for being one of the youngest to get to where she is. Kyle grew up in southern California and began her work there, as well. She became close with Baphmaal after being called to Floridia in an attempt to figure out what the hell he is. She calls him Alaria, after the seaweed. She seems to be the only one on the site that is passionate about keeping Baphmaal alive, and will gladly throw hands with anyone who thinks differently. She is slowly starting to connect the strange case of her Alaria with that of Meg Ortiz Palomo, and is aware of Mahlijta’s existence. It hurts her to keep the full truth a secret from Baphmaal, but it seems that she doesn’t have much choice.
Dr. Lidia Vanesa Anaya Gallardo
Lidia is an astrophysicist working on CGO, a LIGO clone placed outside of Campeche in Yucatan, Mexico. After months of monitoring strange signals coming from nearby, Dr. Anaya Gallardo and the rest of her team begin to snoop around on their own, eventually stumbling across the aftermath of a collapsed wormhole. They do their best to rescue the strange creature they find, but only Mahlijita survives. Lidia finds herself taking care of Mahli the most, unafraid of the massive creature. The two grow close, as Lidia does her best to provide the best life she can for the alien. She keeps in contact with Dr. Doyle and gives Mahli as many updates as possible, hoping that the existence of another Orgono is able to give her enough hope to carry on.

The post-science age
The Post-Science Age is a mix between canon and an AU that I hold near and dear to my heart. Years after the Science Age, when technology is beyond repair and things seem nearly post-apocalyptic, the portal reopens, and Earth and Korad are connected once more. This age is mostly for fun, and has no real story. Orgonus and Humans are fun to write together, and as much as I love Meg, I want more to play around with. These mostly take place during the OHRE Program, where the two groups interacted the most
Alatrita Domicus
ESTP-A Domicus is the first Freezer emporine of the Amphibious Empire and a tyrant if anything. She loves nothing more than a drink in her hand, a woman on her knee, and money in her wallet. Her empire is hungry, though, and she does not have the means to feed them. Instead of giving up her wealth, Domicus turns to science and brings back an old project from an Amphibian long dead. Domicus sees humans as below her, and her kindness towards them is completely false. The OHRE Program, while successful at blending the two, is only a ploy to bring the wealth back to her people. Domicus is a shark in minnows scales, and she has a craving for flesh, alcohol, and parties that only human kind can fill. |
Popli ei Vamillija
Vamilija is a Low-Tide Deepie scientist who, under Alataria Domicus’s careful watch, has studied human culture and is at the forefront of OHRE. Observant and upbeat, Vam regularly engages with the humans and runs diagnostics on their biology and mental capacity. He is infamous among the human researchers for attacking a scientist, and is defended within organic communities for defending himself. Vam had his eye dug out with a fork after a play fight with a friend was interpreted as aggression. Vamilija ripped the human’s arm off in defense. He does not regret it, saying that ‘someone who does not understand organic social cues should not be working around organic life.’ In private he admitted that the man’s arm was a ‘satisfying snack.’
