Races
An individual fish alien is called an orgono, plural orgonus. There are three distinct races of orgonus, each inhabiting a different biome on their planet, Korad. Each race is incredibly diverse, and the facts stated in the overviews are only generalizations.
It should also be noted that the concept of social races do not exist in Organics. While traits specific to POC do track on and are consistent within Orgono, there is no distinct separation or distinction between phenotypical traits. It's not something they understand or would know about. Organic races are not equivalent to human races. Any Organic race can have any color skin, although certain sub-races are more likely to have darker/lighter skin tones than others. For example, it makes more sense for corapons, the desert amphibians, to have darker skin than deep-sea deepies, who spend most of their lives hidden from the sun.
In modern times, sub-races are mostly obsolete. They were a lot more useful before travel was as easy and cultures were more clearly separated. In the modern age, where Korad is more globalized, it is rare to find any orgono who fits (or even identifies) within these lables.
Think of the different races as different sapien species. Sapiens, and able to reproduce successfully, but different nevertheless and differently equipped for different parts of the world.
Some races are known to have specific body types. Different body types are absolutely possible in any individual for a myriad of reasons, and the types mentioned are based on overarching differences in skeletal structure and genetic differences in fat and muscle storage. Amphibians have high metabolism and are able to navigate tight swamps and cool off under the hot sun. Deepies always have healthy layers of blubber and fat on them, needing it to withstand water pressure and keep themselves warm in the deep ocean. Freezers pile both muscle and fat on with ease, with barrel-like rib cages so that they may produce heat and keep it insulated. Exceptions exist, especially in modern times, but these are differences!
Amphibian
Merchants Language: Ponsol
Amphibians are the most diverse race of orgonus, and they live primarily on dry land. Their fins are more circular in shape and can’t glow. They are tall and thin, reaching from 8 ½ ft to 9 ½ ft on average. Their antenna are small and stubby and their hair is usually kept no longer than the length of their hand, although exceptions are more than possible. Amphibians come in a range of warm colors and can be anywhere from magenta to yellow, with a rare lime being found in some.
Mallopon
Mallopons are the least common amphibious subrace, and live in the eastern rainforest. They are mostly found in bright yellow colors, but a lime green is not uncommon. Green only appears in Mallopons.
Dilepon
Dilepons are the most widespread amphibians, living in marshes, bogs, fens, rivers, and large lakes. Anywhere with fresh water. They range in colors from magenta to yellow.
Corapon
Corapons are the oldest known established, non-nomadic Organic settlements to exist on land. They inhabit the large, luxurious oases that splatter the desert that splits the continent in two. They are found in oranges and yellows, with the browns and beiges not being uncommon.
Deepie
Merchants Language: Gingil
Deepies cover the most ground on Korad, having domain over most oceans. They possess lots of blubber and store natural fats to protect themselves from intense water pressures. They have the antenna, with them being no shorter than their body. They have full control over their bioluminescence and come in any color from pink to purple. They can not be red, orange, or yellow, but any other color is fair game. Their fins are long and their smiles are wide. They rage in height from 8 ft - 9 ft
Deep-sea
Deep-sea deepies inhabit the deepest, darkest parts of the ocean. From trenches to caves to the wide open darkness, they make their home away from the light of the sun. They are usually pale with hard blubber. It’s not uncommon for them to never see the surface.
Estuarie
Estuarie deepies commonly live in tandem with amphibians or migrating freezers in an estuary or delta. They can switch easily between salt water and freshwater, unlike most orgous, who need a transition period.
Low-Tide
Low-tides are found in the shallow waters of the ocean, where the sun shines and the fish swim. They may have settlements that are half-submerged and half on land. Many Low-tide cities float out in the open ocean or are pulled across the sea by domesticated sea-life.
Freezers
Merchant Language: Lithnus
Freezers are the largest orgonus, with muscle and blubber to insulate heat in the cold temperatures they inhabit. They can be anywhere from 8ft to 11ft, with the rare individual reaching the 12ft mark. They can be any neutral shade, with slight tints of any color. Most are an off-white or grey color. Many are nomadic, with warm and cold seasons homes that they travel between.
Tundra
Tundra freezers live in the far north and cover taiga, glaciers, and the ice wastelands. They are the most secluded and rarely leave their snowy home. They are usually very rural, with the biggest cities being a few port towns. Those in the wastelands may live partially or fully under the ice, and rarely travel south.
Costal
Costal freezers live in the western mountains that border the ocean, thus their name. They can commonly be found in estuarie deepie towns, and are known for producing a large array of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural goods.
Valley
Valley freezers are found in the cliffs, outcroppings, and moors bordering the eastern coast. They do not produce as many crops as their cousins, but are known for their masterful animal handling. Their port towns still use animal labor, as they have found that it’s more efficient than most modern technology.

Orgono maker
This is a lazy little game I made one night to help visualize the different races and what colors they can be! It's not the best, but it is relatively accurate!
I'm hoping to make a better one some time in the future that has more vivid colors and all the different body types. But until then, this will have to do!
